A coalition of Somali political leaders and organizations has announced the formation of a new political party named “Midowga Haybad Qaran” (National Prestige Union) following a series of extensive consultations and political discussions held in Mogadishu.
The statement, titled “Decision and Understanding,” emphasized that the meetings were convened to address the country’s overall situation — particularly in the areas of politics, security, economy, and social development. Participants focused on the urgent need for unity and the establishment of a transparent and accountable governance system capable of steering Somalia toward recovery and progress.

According to the communiqué, the political leaders acknowledged the damage caused by prolonged divisions, economic decline, and the deterioration of essential public services. They jointly expressed optimism about rebuilding hope and restoring national cohesion through collective political action.
