The Commander of the 60th Division of the Somali National Army (SNA), Colonel Isaaq Berdaale, today received senior officers of the Somali National Army at his office in Baidoa who are in the city on a working visit.
The meeting focused on accelerating security operations, enhancing inter-force cooperation, and strengthening plans to ensure overall security in the South West regions.
Reliable sources who spoke to Somdaily confirmed that the Commander of the elite Haramcad Police Unit was among the senior officers who arrived in Baidoa today.
The visit comes just weeks after Baidoa witnessed fierce clashes that inflicted heavy losses on the forces stationed in the city.

According to information obtained by Somdaily, the senior officers are consulting on bringing additional reinforcements to Baidoa to bolster the city’s defenses and counter the ongoing campaign by forces loyal to former South West President Abdiaziz Laftagareen.
There has been no official statement yet from the SNA General Command regarding the exact purpose of the officers’ visit or the number of additional troops expected to be deployed to Baidoa.
