Mogadishu, Somalia – The Leader of the Wadajir Party and Member of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, Hon. Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame, today held an engaging knowledge-sharing workshop with leaders of various university student unions in Mogadishu. The session focused on the role of Somali youth in nation-building and the importance of value-based leadership rooted in integrity and service.
During the discussion, Mr. Warsame led a deep and open dialogue with the students on topics such as the difference between knowledge and awareness, the responsibilities of youth toward their nation, and how young people can become examples of honesty, service, and patriotism.

“Leadership is about responsibility and service, not a position or personal gain,” said Mr. Warsame, emphasizing that Somali youth possess the civic power to transform both their own lives and the future of their country through conscience, sincerity, and commitment to the common good.
Known for his close engagement with the youth, Warsame highlighted that the knowledge, creativity, and energy of Somali youth are the backbone of the nation’s future. He urged students not to wait for change to come from outside but to be at the forefront of transforming their communities from within.
The Wadajir leader also expressed strong optimism that Somalia can one day become a leading nation in Africa — if the country embraces leaders who deeply care for the people, are honest, and have a clear, forward-looking vision.
Participants praised Warsame’s efforts in inspiring and empowering young people across the country, describing his leadership as a source of motivation and guidance for a new generation determined to shape Somalia’s future.
