Somalia’s New Ambassador to Tanzania, Ilyas Ali Hassan, Receives Warm Welcome in Dar es Salaam

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – Somalia’s newly appointed Ambassador to Tanzania, Ilyas Ali Hassan, was warmly welcomed in Dar es Salaam today, marking the beginning of his diplomatic mission. The reception was attended by a broad cross-section of Tanzanian officials, including representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, several foreign ambassadors, and members of the Somali community in Tanzania.

Ambassador Ilyas expressed his gratitude to the Tanzanian government and the Somali diaspora for their warm reception. “I am deeply honored by the welcome I have received today, and I look forward to strengthening the already strong ties between our two nations,” he said. Following the reception, he proceeded to the Somali Embassy to prepare for the formal submission of his credentials to the leadership of Tanzania, a key step in officially beginning his tenure.
