Mogadishu, Somalia – In a significant step toward enhancing humanitarian response, the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs have signed an agreement outlining a strategic framework for cooperation. This initiative aims to ensure a more efficient, effective, and streamlined approach to delivering aid to communities affected by climate change.
The newly signed strategy prioritizes strengthening humanitarian operations, improving the distribution of aid, and facilitating easier access to donations and support for vulnerable populations. The agreement emphasizes tailoring assistance to meet the specific needs of different communities, considering the unique challenges they face.

Dr. Ismail Jimale represented SoDMA in the signing, while Eng. Daoud H. Mohamud signed on behalf of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Both officials highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts to mitigate the humanitarian impact of climate change, reaffirming their commitment to improving response mechanisms across Somalia.
