The President of South West State, H.E. Abdiasis Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen, on Sunday received a high-level delegation from DT Global at the Presidential Palace in Baidoa. The delegation was led by Mr. Liban Mohamed Jama, Deputy Team leader for the Sinaan Project, accompanied by senior technical experts.
The discussions focused on measures to accelerate the implementation of the Sinaan Project, which supports the Baidoa District Administration in upgrading and promoting key tourism sites, including Gerbooda and Isha Baydhabo. The initiative is funded by the Government of the United Kingdom through the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

President Laftagareen praised DT Global for its ongoing commitment to improving tourism-related infrastructure in South West State. He noted that the development of these strategic sites will play a crucial role in stimulating economic growth, enhancing local livelihoods, and positioning Baidoa as an emerging tourism destination.

The DT Global delegation reaffirmed their dedication to providing continued technical assistance and project support to ensure the tourism landmarks in Baidoa meet both national and international standards. They further emphasized the importance of consistent coordination with local authorities to maximise project impact.
The meeting underscored a mutual resolve to fast-track project activities and deepen cooperation in the months ahead, reflecting a broader commitment to socio-economic development and stability across South West State.
