The Chairman of the National Progress and Unity Party (NPU), Hon. Sharif Hassan Sheikh Adan, today met with various representatives of the Banaadir region community in Mogadishu, where they expressed their full support and confidence in the party’s vision and leadership. The community pledged to actively participate in the party’s mobilization and campaign efforts ahead of the upcoming national elections.
The National Progress and Unity Party (NPU) stands among the leading political movements championing democratic governance and the “One Person, One Vote” electoral system. The party’s core objective is to restore political power to the Somali people, enabling citizens to freely elect their representatives and take ownership of their nation’s future.

During the meeting, Chairman Sharif Hassan Sheikh Adan urged citizens to prepare for the upcoming elections, emphasizing the need to enhance public awareness and civic engagement. He noted that an informed electorate is vital for building a transparent and accountable political system that truly serves the interests of the people.
Sharif Hassan also welcomed the anticipated regional elections, reaffirming that his party will participate in the upcoming election across all Somali states. He underscored NPU’s commitment to promoting competent leadership that reflects the values and aspirations of the Somali public.
